Every Business Has a Story and So Do We
Our story doesn’t begin in a shop with shiny tools. It begins in the customer’s seat, looking at a repair bill that didn’t make sense, the moment that changed everything.
Jourdan’s Mobile Auto Repair was born out of frustration, not just with the rising cost of car repairs, but with the way too many repair chains treat everyday drivers. I’ve personally been on the wrong end of shops that tried to take advantage of me.
One of the most eye-opening experiences came during what was supposed to be a simple oil change, the only reason I went in was because I didn’t have the equipment to do it myself. The shop assumed I was just another uninformed customer and tried to upsell me a tune-up package that included spark plugs.
In reality, it was the same clean, new filter I had just installed myself. That moment showed me exactly how little respect some shops have for their customers’ requests and trust.
Later, while working as a delivery driver for an aftermarket automotive parts store, I saw firsthand how many of these chain shops operated. The pressure wasn’t just at the customer level, private equity firms that own these chains push store managers and technicians to prioritize profits over people.
One shop damaged my car and brushed it off, refusing to make it right because they “didn’t think it was that bad.” Another told me I needed repairs I knew weren’t necessary, not realizing I had recently paid another shop to replace that exact component. I wasn’t an expert back then, but I knew enough about cars to catch them in the act.
The problem? Spark plugs can’t be inspected without removing them, and they never even touched mine.
On top of that, I told them clearly: “Don’t touch my filters, they’re brand new. I put them in myself.” Not even five minutes later, the technician walked in holding my filter, presenting it as if it were dirty and needed replacement.
In another case, a different shop quoted me nearly $1,000 in labor and told me they’d need to keep my car for a full day on a repair they claimed would take 10 hours. With no professional tools and no formal training, I completed the repair myself in just four hours, saving myself a massive bill and not having to be without my car.
Mechanical talent isn’t rewarded, unnecessary “maintenance packages” are pushed, and customers pay the price. I’ve seen countless stories where elderly drivers, women, and young people were targeted with repairs or services they didn’t need. And that’s not all I’ve seen.
Our Story

Building Something Better
From there, I started to learn more and more about automotive repair. I worked on my own cars, then began fixing friends’ and family members’ cars. The more I saw, the more I realized, if I was frustrated by this system, countless others must be too. That’s when I decided it would probably be a good idea to launch a business built on the opposite values.

That’s why I built Jourdan’s Mobile Auto Repair. We’re here to be the opposite of the franchise chains.
Local – We’re rooted in the community, not run by stockholders.
Affordable – Our rates are fair, without inflated dealership pricing.
Transparent – We explain everything clearly, because we know exactly how it feels to sit on the other side as a customer.
Driven by Honesty, Powered by Trust
At Jourdan’s Mobile Auto Repair, our mission is to provide Local. Affordable. Transparent. service that puts customers first. We started this business to give drivers a real alternative to franchise chains that overcharge, upsell, and take too long for urgent repairs.

Jourdan’s Mobile Auto Repair exists because I’ve lived the frustration, seen the corruption, and know there’s a better way. Here, you get honest work, done right, at your doorstep.
